The incident belongs to Kapurthala. On October 9, 1990 at around 5:00 PM in Kapurthala, an ex-minister S. Atma Singh was sitting in the front lawn of his house. Two terrorists who were heavily armed came on a scooter with a motive to kill the minister. They started firing at him. The minister fell down. Thinking that they have killed him, the terrorists sped away. However minister escaped a bid on his life, though got injured.		S. Atma Singh
