It was the last dusk for eight innocent people of village Quilla Raiur, PS Dehlon. On June 25, 1992 at around 7:45 PM, five terrorists armed with AK-47 rifles forced their entry into the shop of one Naresh Kumar. At gun point, they took him alongwith seven more persons present there, near a historic Gurdwara (religious sikh temple) Ranga Patti. Screams notwithstanding, the killers shot all of them dead. This mindless massacre not only stunned the village and adjoining areas, it sent shivers down the spines of millions of Punjabis wherever they heared or read about this terrible happening.
