| Amritsar has been among the main targets for terrorists. It's felt that the major reason was that the killers used to take shelter in heavily fortified Golden Temple complex to avoid police crackdown. It was a hot summer day of May, around 1 P.M. A large number of passengers had gathered at the bus stand. Suddenly, two bombs exploded almost simultaneously in two different buses parked in the bus stand. People started running around in panic. Even the children got so scared. Two persons were killed and 40 injured in the blasts. |
