| Law enforcement personnel had since long been targeted by the terrorists. On June 20, 1990 at about 8:55 PM, the terrorists exploded a powerful bomb at the police post of Purana Shalla in Sadar Gurdaspur. As a result, three persons including Sarpanch of the village were killed and 10 seriously injured. The roof of the building collapsed due to the powerful explosion.
